Coronavirus Update

As the impact of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) expands into our area communities, we would like to share the steps we are taking to keep our patients, vendors, providers, and staff safe.

As an Outpatient Surgery Center, we pride ourselves on patient safety, efficiency, and a high standard of care. We have always put a great deal of emphasis on procedures that support these areas. Our facility has always followed the guidelines for infection prevention and safety from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as the World Health Organization (WHO).

We are closely monitoring their recommendations during this time and utilizing what is appropriate for our surgical center. Lewis & Clark Outpatient Surgery already assesses our patients medical and social risk factors for all surgeries.

A patient’s health condition and recent travel could result in a postponed surgery until such time as it is deemed safe for the patient and our facility. Not only are we assessing our patients, but also their care person that will accompany and care for them after surgery. In adherence to the social distancing recommendation, we are asking all patients to only have one care person accompany them to the surgery center

Lewis & Clark Outpatient Surgery will continue to assess the impact of COVID-19 and will continue to follow the recommendations of the CDC and WHO to best serve the needs of our patients and the community.
